Soms vergis je je even in een persbericht, al doende met de voorbereidingen op de reis naar de laatste GP van dit jaar kwam een bericht van KTM binnen. Ik las het maar het drong niet tot me door. Tot je op Engelse sites ineens de KTM Superbike ziet staan.

Een misser van formaat van de Racesport redactie vanndaar nu snel de originele tekst van het Persbericht vertaling volgt:
Minder dan een maand nadat KTM te kennen gaf de MotoGP toch wel geld verslindend te vinden onthuldde KTM vannacht op de Tokyo Motorshow een concept superbike die al bijna voldoet aan de WSBK reglementen voor 2004.
De KTM is een 990cc V-twin blok en heeft voorlopig de werknaam RC8 meegekregen. KTM woordvoerster Carmen Ponta laat desgevraagd weten KTM overweegt voor de toekomst zeker haar intrede in het WK Superbike, maar er is nog niet duidelijk wanneer dit zal gebeuren.
